When the Twin Towers fell on September 11, 2001, the 1 9 Line tunnel and the subway infrastructure beneath them were heavily damaged.

The tunnel was filled with rubble, utilities collapsed, and there was serious flooding from broken water mains. The Port Authority (PATH) and the City's Department of Transportation set forth to rebuild this system on the Fast Track.

CP is proud to be the supplier of DC Switchgear and Rectifiers for this project. Our HSN DC Circuit Breaker was chosen as the sole source for this project.

CP completed shipment of the DC Switchgear ahead of schedule allowing PATH to restore partial service to Exchange Place Station by June 29th, 2003, and trains linking the station to the World Trade Center by the end of 2003.
