CP has been a leader and innovator in the design and supply of mobile and portable traction power substations since 1975. We have experience in supplying this class of equipment to the utility industry, transit industry, and heavy industrial markets. We have provided two mobile rectifier traction power substations to a large east coast transit system. The traction power substations contained provisions for dual incoming sources of either 33 kV or 13.8 kV. The transformer was rated 2300kVA with dual primary voltage, and fed a 2 megawatt trait rectifier with dc feeder switchgear. It was totally contained for completely interdependent operation.
